NEW! Our social committee has come up with a great idea for those who are wine connoisseurs. They are in contact with a local wine bus that can fill everyone’s taste pallets. The average cost for a flight of 5 wines is $15.00. All wineries serve food including charcuterie boards, pizza, salads, deviled eggs, rustic breads, etc. The bus leaves at 10 am. and returns around 4:30 or 5:00 pm. It is a full day. Arizona wineries have been around for several years now and have evolved into good wine and wineries with a pleasant atmosphere. If interested, please call Winebelly Vinyard Tours at 832-797-4384.
2024 Bucky’s Casino PVS Poker Run: will mimic much of the prior events in that we start in the Panara Bread/Best Buy/Red Robin parking lot (3065 Gateway Blvd in Prescott). Arrive well before the 10:00am departure time (try 9:15 to 9:30) to purchase your Poker Run score cards and get route instructions. Once again, we collect $10 cash per hand, two hands maximum.
The 2024 Bucky’s Casino PVS Poker Run route will guide you to five locations to draw a card to create your poker hand. Similar to a 50/50 raffle, we set aside half for charity and the other half to the ‘pot’ for prize money. (Previously that was about $300 for the best hand and $300 for the worst hand.)
We depart at 10:00 am. We should be ready for lunch around noonish. It is not a race, rather a way to show off our hometown and hopefully have some fun.
New this year! Two of the card-draw locations will have rest rooms and the lunch stop is at Prescott Resort and Bucky’s Casino. This is the large hotel & convention center atop the hill where highways 69 & 89 converge. The views are magnificent and there will be ‘free play’ vouchers for the casino.
Our Friday Night “Meet and Greet” will be held on Cortez street with two of Prescotts’ best food trucks and the Whiskey Pistols providing the entertainment.
Saturday September 28
Before the awards are handed out, we will have our 50/50 drawing. This year’s additional prizes feature a Summit Racing Banner, an Adams detail bag with various detail sprays, $30.00 gift certificates from Corvette Central, and a Griots Garage car care kit.
After the awards we will raffle off a Ron Fellows/ Spring Mountain 2 day driving school certificate, a $3,700.00 value.
Then our extremely popular BBQ will be held at the beautiful Antelope Hills Centennial Center.
There will be more on these events and others in our next show update. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
